Attention, New Hampshire
(Concord , NH August 1,
2018 ) --- First District GOP congressional candidate Andy Martin
will hold a Concord, NH news conference Wednesday, August 1st to announce he
has reached “agreement in principle” to expedite the production of New
Hampshire Liquor Commission (“LC”) files involving Eddie Edwards’ lawsuits and
complaints against the LC. Edwards received $160,000 to leave the agency and
never reapply for employment.
“I had given the LC until 5:00
P.M. Tuesday to make a deal. When it came to 5:01 P.M. I sat down at my desk to start drafting a
Right to Know (‘RTK ’) lawsuit
seeking to expedite the LC’s response. At 5:31
P.M. an email from the LC popped up offering an expedited
schedule. It was like a James Bond clock ticking down to the last minute.
“The LC had previously claimed, falsely and outrageously,
that it had no records concerning Edwards, which was a preposterous response
(we previously distributed a copy of that fraudulent letter from the LC).
“Nevertheless, while we have not reached 100% agreement, we
are close enough that I think we can make a deal. I am working for every
Republican voter and every New Hampshire
“Tuesday I held a Manchester news conference and released
documents written by Edwards’ successor claiming he had inherited from Edwards
an agency that was ‘dysfunctional,’ and characterized by ‘mistrust and
self-interest.’
“If Eddie Edwards were not a minority, no one would
seriously consider him as a candidate for congress based on his failed record
at the LC. Edwards has very successfully played the race card, first at the LC
and now in a congressional race. But that game is up. I have a long, long
history of support for civil rights. No one can accuse me of being a bigot. I
am merely a fighter for the color-blind facts and truth.
“Wednesday Rudy Giuliani, who should know better, is coming
to NH to ‘endorse’ Edwards. Endorse what? Edwards’ failed record as a
‘dysfunctional’ leader who led with ‘mistrust and self-interest?’ That’s a
record Giuliani can endorse?
“Giuliani should receive tough questions about his bizarre
endorsement of someone who filed two administrative complaints and one lawsuit
against the agency he led claiming racial discrimination. When he was finally
booted out, he claimed he was a great success and started running for office.
That’s the definition of chutzpah.
“Would Giuliani endorse a non-minority candidate with that
record? No way. So in the twilight of his career, Giuliani is now endorsing
candidates that he would have summarily rejected earlier in his professional life.
“Now that I am approaching an agreement with the LC I fully
expect John DiStaso at WMUR to big foot me and file his own duplicative RTK request at the
LC. Mr. DiStaso is a great admirer of mine. He copies all of my RTK demands and
pretends they are really his own.
“My campaign for congress has been one of the most
extraordinary in recent American history, right here in little old New Hampshire New Hampshire
“I will be working with the LC on Wednesday to lock down
the timetable. I think we will do so and avoid a lawsuit. I am working to make
the ‘Eddie Edwards files’ available as quickly as possible and we are using the
prospect of an RTK lawsuit to get the agency to move more
quickly,” Martin says. “I would act with the same ferocity in Congress. I would
not let the Department of Justice and FBI delay production of documents to
cover-up Democratic Party dirty tricks.
