New Hampshire congressional candidate Andy Martin will hold a Manchester news conference Tuesday to question the unusual relationship between a state party leader, Ray Buckley, and Democratic congressional candidate Chris Pappas.

Then Andy will head to New Castle to deliver a serious presentation explaining his plan to win the general election. “I’m a thinker and a planner,” Andy says. “What is the sense of running in a primary if you lack a strategy to win the general election? I think people will find my ideas very interesting.”

(Manchester, NH)(August 14, 2018) --- Republican congressional candidate Andy Martin will hold a news conference Tuesday to question the unusual connection between two Democratic Party leaders. Later, Martin will unveil for New Castle Republicans his general election strategy for winning the first congressional district.

Monday Martin filed a lawsuit challenging GOP state party leaders’ efforts to conduct a corrupt candidates’ “debate” this week in violation of the party’s bylaws requiring strict party neutrality in primaries.

“Because I am a different kind of candidate,” Martin says, “I run a different kind of campaign. But no one can dispute that my efforts in the primary have changed the face of the election, repeatedly. My Right to Know agreements significantly embarrassed two of my opponents, with more documents yet to come. My disclosures have been the most unscripted elements in the current primary. That’s why my presence draws interest, and why trying to exclude me from a debate is self-defeating.

“To lock me out of a debate shows just how out of touch with reality the Republican Party leadership really is. They will be making laughingstocks of the party’s neutrality bylaws by trying to rig the outcome. As President Trump would say, ‘They are going to pay a heavy price for their dishonesty and disloyalty. They are not very smart people.’

“When we unleash our retaliation, it will suck the air out of the GOP conspirators’ general election campaign. The goofy GOP ‘leaders’ will know what it feels like to be one of my opponents.

“But, on a different level, at my news conference today I feel compelled to jump, if only briefly, into the Democrats’ congressional primary. One of the candidates, Levi Sanders, hinted at a recent forum in Laconia that there may be some collusion between the state chairman, Ray Buckley, and candidate Chris Pappas. My campaign is probably the only Republican campaign that closely monitors the Democrats. Sanders’ contretemps with Buckley caught my attention. We took a deeper dive.

“With a little digging by our Bureau of Investigation we came up with my question of the day for today: Why is Ray Buckley managing Chris Pappas’ DNA on line (ancestry.com)?

“Or, put another way, if Pappas and Buckley are so close that Buckley manages Pappas’ DNA and family tree online, should Buckley be presiding at events where Pappas is a candidate?

“I’m a Republican so, until the day after the primary, Democrats are of limited interest to me. But because of my investigative background and our success in using New Hampshire’s Right to Know law to ferret out embarrassing information about Republican candidates, we get raw information about Democrats and Republicans dumped on our doorstep almost every day.

“Still, the closeness of the connection between Pappas and Buckley is clearly worth considering when Buckley is presiding at events where Pappas is a candidate” Martin observes. “Can anyone help me with this?”

“Tuesday I will also have the pleasure of addressing a very serious audience in New Castle. I will explain my strategy to beat the Democrat in November. I have a strategy; my primary opponents do not. The First Congressional District is an educated, sophisticated district. It may be R +2 or whatever, but that number means nothing ‘on the ground’ where we live our lives. We have intelligent voters; they demand a candidate who is in sync with the district, not a bobblehead who spouts stale talking points. New Castlers have asked for a positive presentation and I will endeavor to meet their expectations. I think they will find my views serious and substantial.”
